The sunset was breathtaking. It’s all so incredibly busy and tough to find parking but there is a tremendous amount of street parking and that in the parking lot. Certainly worth coming to walk the beautiful grounds, see the sunset, or watch the Friday evening fireworks.

Magic Island is not an island but a pond in Ala Mona Park that magically takes in lighted buildings far and near at night, giving an illusion of a mesmerizing “isolated water island”
Nice peaceful spot for the kids to swim. Not many people here compared to down the block by Hilton area Beach. We prefer these lagoons over the busy overcrowded beaches. There is plenty of FREE parking and a nice park with walking / running paths leading to the lagoon.
Great views at sunset, and chances are you will catch a couple getting married and taking some pics!! Enjoy!

There are restrooms too, which is little stinky . We will definitely go back to this beach. it is not as crowded as the main beach in Waikiki.
Nice small island with two «beaches». One to the left, the other to the right. These are in their natural state and not so well maintained. In this place one can do picknick and relax in a not so crowdy place
Magic island is fun because there is always something going on. For example, on Mondays there is sunset yoga and fire dancing on magic island! Look up Aloha Island Yoga or @sailingmoonyogi on Instagram for more information! It’s a wonderful way to meet new people and enjoy the area.
